Tips For Writing Persuasive EssaysAre you sick of writing all that very boring material, only to find out that your students' essays do not match up to your topics as I lay dying? Well, you can rest assured that your students will appreciate you for having planned out a persuasive essay. Why is writing a persuasive essay so hard? You could look at just about any high school and college writing assignment and see that there are plenty of different categories for topics, and each topic has several different topics associated with it. In addition, it is hard to match up different topics to essay topics as I lay dying when they are from two different courses. The types of topics that are used by colleges to include what most people think of as non-possessive topics, where the writer does not tell us anything specific about a situation, but rather explains the situation using a diagram or table. Students want to know why things happen, how things happen, or what could have happened in order to make a particular situation better.Consider, for example, the dilemma where we are in love with someone who is having an affair. On one hand, we want them to stop cheating on us, and we understand the pain they are going through. On the other hand, we would like them to get back together with us because we love them and want them to be happy. There is no specific way to write a persuasive essay that is more convincing than this, but if you plot out a thought experiment on the ideas involved, it could be very persuasive and interesting. What is more, the topic of the essay has to be something that a student can relate to, and which would make them take action or become engaged with the issue at hand.Once a student is able to find a way to relate something to a persuasive essay, and then they can begin to figure out how to connect various parts of the essay to the topic as you lay dying. By doing this, the material becomes easier to write, and the creation process of the essay has a whole new meaning to it. It no longer has to do with cold facts.Of course, the proper point of reference in writing a persuasive essay is to find something that relates to the material as you lay dying, and then convert that into a 'Thesis Statement' that offers a way to connect the different ideas together. After this, a great essay can be created!Think about this the next time you need to write a persuasive essay! Instead of just writing a list of facts, see if you can find some of those facts in a form that a student can relate to.
